When hope feels like it’s disappeared

There are seasons when hope seems to have simply disappeared.

Instead of feeling inspired, you feel exhausted.
An emptiness —
or a vagueness about what should happen next —
takes over.

That’s when hope feels like a pressure…
something we’re supposed to have.

And when we finally name what we’re feeling, we may quietly wonder what that says about us.

But the truth is:
losing hope doesn’t mean you’re failing.

It often means you’ve been carrying too much for too long.

Sometimes the absence of hope is simply the mind’s way of saying:
“I need rest before I can imagine again.”

If you’re in that place right now, you’re not broken.
You’re tired. And tiredness can look like hopelessness.

It doesn’t mean hope is gone.
It doesn’t mean hope can’t return.
It may simply mean hope is quiet —
waiting beneath the surface.

A delicate purple flower emerging through snow.

One gentle thought to carry forward

Something small can begin without needing to prove itself.
