Joy

Early summer can also bring a different kind of unease.

There are no plans on the calendar.

No gathering to look forward to.
No trip.
No familiar rhythm of celebration.

The empty space can feel heavier than a busy schedule.

Often this feeling is not laziness or lack of effort.

It is fear.

Fear of another lonely season.
Fear that joy might not arrive this time.

Our bodies are surprisingly honest about absence.

When something meaningful is missing, the nervous system notices.

Admitting this can feel uncomfortable.

But recognizing what is missing is often the first step toward change.
