A breath, an opening, a beginning

Finding your own circle
The Circle of Creation is my adaptation of the well-known Circle of Control model — reimagined through a legacy lens.
It’s here to remind you: creation always begins with what you can shape today.
How this tool can help
You can use the Circle of Creation in two gentle ways:
Naming Defenses — to explore the shields you carry in the Bubble Wrap theme.
Finding Steadiness — to ground yourself when fear or overwhelm rises.
You can choose whatever feels right today.
A story to begin
Let’s start with Maya.
Whenever she visited her brother, she used the Circle to notice which battles weren’t hers to carry — and which steps were within her circles of creation and influence.
As you read, consider a moment in your own life when the Circle might help you find steadiness.
The Three Circles of Creation

A view through nature’s lens: From footprints to ripples to mountains, legacy unfolds in what we shape — and in what we choose to release.
Let’s explore each one slowly:
Circle of Creation

Your footprints
This is what you can shape today — your actions, your words, your next small step.
Circle of Influence

Your ripple
Your ripple represents the spaces you can guide but not fully control — relationships, shared moments, energy exchanged.
Circle of Concern

The mountains
Some things lie beyond your reach — and that’s okay. Releasing them makes space for creation to begin again.
When overwhelm builds
Overwhelm can feel like carrying the whole world at once.
Let’s make it lighter.
Return to: a photo, phrase, or ritual that steadies you.
Or take a few minutes to sit with your Circle.
You might write, sketch, or simply think through these questions:
What circle am I standing in right now — creation, influence, or concern?
Where might I be holding too tightly?
What could I release, or gently return to, today?
Let your words or images land softly.
There’s no wrong way to reflect — only your way.
