Our shared agreements
The nature of this work
The Touchstone Journey and Family Transition Room are supportive, reflective offerings and do not constitute psychotherapy or clinical mental health treatment, as outlined in Legacy Redefined’s Disclaimer Policy. Sessions are centered on emotional awareness, legacy reflection, and intentional living.
This work may feel:
— meaningful, grounding, or clarifying
— tender or emotionally present at times
— gently activating in ways that invite reflection.
You are always invited to move at your own pace.
If at any point your needs extend beyond reflective support, I may gently suggest additional or alternative professional resources.
Emotional safety and pace
You are always in control of what you share.
You may pause, redirect, or decline any prompt or reflection.
There is no expectation to “go deeper” than feels right.
Silence, thinking time, or emotional presence without words is welcome.
We work with where you are — not with what feels forced or rushed.
Boundaries and scope
To keep this space steady, respectful, and emotionally sustainable:
Sessions are held via Zoom at scheduled times.
This offering does not include crisis intervention, emergency support, or on-call availability.
Between sessions, communication is primarily limited to scheduling or brief clarifications.
As part of the journey, clients may receive one personalized email reflection during their active session period. This reflection is offered once per set of sessions.
If you find yourself wanting additional gentle support between sessions, you’re welcome to continue through A Quiet Corner, which offers a steady, lower-threshold way to stay connected without extending the scope of this work.
If urgent or crisis support is needed, clients are encouraged to contact local emergency services or a licensed mental health professional. You can also visit the Crisis Support page for resources.
Some clients find it reassuring to keep the contact information of a trusted support person or preferred service nearby during sessions, simply as an added layer of care.
Client responsibilities and self-care
Because reflective work can stir emotions, clients agree to:
Arrive rested and as present as possible.
Attend to basic self-care before and after sessions.
Seek additional support if strong emotions continue beyond sessions.
Reflection is not something you endure alone.
Confidentiality
Sessions are held in confidence, except where disclosure is required by law (such as risk of harm to self or others). No sessions are recorded unless explicitly discussed and agreed upon in advance.
You can learn more about how personal information is handled in Legacy Redefined’s Privacy Policy.
Cancellation and rescheduling
Clear scheduling boundaries help preserve emotional safety for both of us.
Sessions may be cancelled with at least 24 hours’ notice. Late cancellations or missed sessions are handled according to my Flexibility Policy.
A shared intention
This journey works best when we both show up with care, honesty, and respect for limits.
The goal is not to offer advice or arrive at quick solutions, but to support steadiness, clarity, and trust in your own inner knowing — one touchstone at a time.
